Bowl for Kids' Sake 2008 Kickoff Breakfast
The kickoff breakfast held at Famous Dave's Restaurant to help encourage the community to build teams for the upcoming Bowl for Kids' Sake annual event was a huge success. With over 140 people attending this kickoff, including representatives from UPS, AAA, UAW, the Toledo Fire Department, and the Toledo Police Department, this year's BFKS could be the best and most exciting to-date. One lucky bowler will win a 4 day cruise to the Bahamas graciously donated by AAA of northwest Ohio and MANY more will win fabulous door prizes donated by local merchants. Be a Hero. The purpose of Big Brothers Big Sisters is to organize, under professional direction, mature and responsible individuals to provide, on a volunteer basis, a role model to children who are in need of a wholesome relationship with a positive role model; and thus, to provide companionship and guidance to such children and, to help assure their proper moral, psychological, intellectual, vocational and physical development.
