Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwestern Ohio (BBBSNWO) continues to work with youth and school/corporate partners to fulfill our mission. We also recognize nothing is more important than the health and well-being of our youth, volunteer mentors, staff, and supporters. In that spirit, we ask you to please take care of yourselves and others.
We are heeding the advice of public health officials, who believe that we as a community need to limit the number of community members who could be exposed to the illness and prevent our health care system from the real possibility of being overwhelmed. BBBSNWO is encouraging everyone to practice safe distancing.
BBBSNWO staff will continue to work remotely and have shifted to conducting program functions virtually. These functions include Volunteer Interviews, Youth/Parent Interviews, and Mentor Trainings, and all afterschool programs. Our virtual process takes place by video, web conference, text, email, FaceTime, Skype, or phone, etc..
In the meantime, we encourage all Bigs to be creative in staying connected to your Little in whatever way you feel most comfortable and able to. Whether by calling your Little, Facetiming with them, etc. There are lots of creative ways to stay connected. BBBSNWO strongly recommends that all Bigs and Littles avoid in-person outings and we will be posting virtual options on our website.
