Bowl for Kids’ Sake is an annual event benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwestern Ohio. All funds will remain in the community and keep our agency’s programming available to the hundreds of local children who need the help of a mentor relationship.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwestern Ohio is still seeking sponsors for the 2020 Bowl for Kids’ Sake fundraising event. With recent events, the community needs your support more than ever!
Due to the unpredictability of COVID-19 and our concern for the community’s health and safety, we will NOT be hosting a live, in-person event. We have decided to host a virtual Bowl for Kids’ Sake but with a fun caveat.
Our staff will host a Virtual Bowl for Kids’ Sake on Saturday, August 22, 2020, from 2:00 p.m.-3:30 p.m. The theme will be #Bowling Over Cultural Differences! Participants are encouraged to be creative- use lawn bowling, the Wii, plastic bottles, whatever you have, and can knock over!
All teams are asked to post their pictures and comments with hashtag: #Bowling Over Cultural Differences. This will enable all participants to follow each other via social media. On Zoom, we will have a DJ during the event, along with announcements of raffles and prizes.
We will have fun contests and prizes for the team with the best costumes, creative bowling alley, etc.
Each team member will receive a t-shirt with this year’s theme: #Bowling Over Cultural Differences (provide sizes with team submission sheets). We will make arrangements to have your BFKS t-shirts picked up contactless at our office.
Regardless of how teams and individuals participate, each team captain will receive a gift card for a large pizza and 2-liter soft drink before the event. We will make arrangements for pickup contactless at our office.
Sponsors & Donors
Our great sponsors will receive recognition during the event, on social media, our website, and the team-shirts.
During these trying times, your financial support is needed more than ever. Thank you for participating in this unique Bowl for Kids’ Sake event. Please consider fundraising through now until August 22.
